Assembly & Site Assembly
The end is now in site!
You now have all the elements repaired, prepared and ready to be put back together.

Assembly can be broken down into 2 sections - the 'at home' part and then assembly 'on site'.

In this section you will find a 'HOW TO' sheet for the following elements
-
Gearing Assembly
-
Character Assembly
-
Bracket and Finger Assembly
-
Post Assembly

Assembly 'at home'
Some elements are best completed at home for ease and to safe unnecessary time on site

Bracket and Finger Assembly

Fingers are generally and affixed in the workshop
The fingers should be bolted to the bracket with stainless steel bolts ONLY: preferably carriage/coach bolts.
(Galvanised bolts will rust due to the tannins in the wood)

Assembly 'on site'
Site assembly may require either full or partial replacement -: or refurbishment in-situ.
Whilst some locations may allow working away from the road most will require working near the Highway and Risk Assessment will be needed.
POSTS: DIY post installation NOT recommended, particularly as DC Highways will carry out this work Free of Charge! DFR can arrange this for you!
The socket/spindle assembly can be added later, together with the brackets c/w fingers.
ANY WORK ON THE HIGHWAY SHOULD BE WITH CARE AND APPROPIATE PPE
